Layer of bike racks that are available for citizens to lock their personal bikes to using their own lock. This dataset was created by merging several datasets- comes from where y'rack sites, DPW and permit information, and confirmed by satellite imagery. Project done in 2018.
Road segments representing centerlines of all roadways or carriageways in a local government. Typically, this information is compiled from orthoimagery or other aerial photography sources. This representation of the road centerlines support address geocoding and mapping. It also serves as a source for public works and other agencies that are responsible for the active management of the road network.
No motor truck, tractor or trailer whose combined weight of body and load exceeds five tons shall be permitted on any of the streets or portions of streets within the city other than those listed herein, except that travel to or from points of destination or origin not located on one of the streets or portions of streets designated herein shall be permissible via the shortest practicable route between such point of origin or destination and the nearest street or portion of street designated herein, subject to the restrictions in Section 154-1522.
These amendments to the route designation list will ensure a clear and accurate list and map of New Orleans' truck routes, serving as a basis for the City's efforts around route signage, education and awareness, and enforcement, all aimed at improving compliance of operation of trucks and oversize vehicles on our roads.
This ordinance was adopted by the Council on September 17, 2020.
